Tim-Callington-Nov2013I’m Tim Callington and I help organisations harness strategy, design and technology to create better products, services and experiences for their customers.

This blog is about my experience with the people and organisations I have the opportunity to work with.

I believe that the most successful digital activities have a common thread – they are borne out of an in-depth understanding of the behaviour and motivations of communities and are guided by strategies that both support those communities and measurably meet business objectives to deliver mutual benefit.

I joined Edelman in 2006 and left in 2014 as a director of digital in the UK & European practice. I now work for IBM as a strategy consultant specialising in customer experience, digital marketing, social business and social media. I specialise in the creation of content-led digital engagement strategies for organisations operating in complex, multi-stakeholder and often issues-rich environments.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a wide range of business-to-consumer and business-to-business organisations in a variety of different industries. These include:

  • Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare
  • Energy & Chemicals
  • Mining & Natural Resources
  • Aerospace & Defence
  • Media
  • Public Sector & Government
  • Financial & Professional Services)
  • Food & Beverages

I called this blog Cut Out and Keep because it started life as a scrapbook on Posterous of interesting posts and articles I collected online.

This is a personal blog. The views expressed are my own and are not necessarily shared by my current or former clients or employers. While my aim is to encourage constructive conversation about digital technology, any references to particular organisations or businesses should not necessarily be interpreted as an endorsement of their activities as a whole.
